Who can join?
To be eligible for membership as a Cadet one must:
be a legal resident of Canada:
provide proof of provincial health insurance coverage or equivalent;
be at least 12 years of age;
not have attained 19 years of age;
not belong to another corps or squadron; and
be acceptable to the Commanding Officer (CO) of the cadet corps or squadron.
How much does it cost?
The Cadet Program is funded by the Department of National Defence in partnership with the civilian Navy League, Army Cadet League and Air Cadet League of Canada.
Our sponsoring committee helps raise money to support costs such as accommodations, training aids, equipment and program enhancements not provided by the above partnerships. Parents are encouraged to participate in and contribute to fundraising in the squadron.
How do I join?
Come down to our squadron on our weekly training night, Tuesdays between 6:30pm and 9:00pm from September to June, and speak to one of our Administration Officers. We can tell you a little more information about our program and answer any of your questions in person.
You will need to bring two documents with you:
Birth Certificate or Passport
What do I wear?
Cadets will receive their uniform once they have completed all their paperwork and after about 4 weeks of continuous participation.
Until this time, new recruits are asked to wear dark pants and a white dress shirt.
