2019 Swim Competition

715 will be hosting Swim Competition again this year!

This will be held at Bennetto Recreation Centre at 450 Hughson St N, Hamilton, ON. on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 10th. We will be taking a bus from the Legion to the rec centre and back from approximately 230pm-11pm. After the swimming portion of the evening and once everybody has dried off, dinner will be provided which will be followed by a Valentines themed dance and open gym for sports!

It will be a multi-squadron air cadet competition between approximately 8 local air cadet squadrons (so if you have any friends from camp you want to see you may get to see them!!). Cadets will have the opportunity to compete in different style heats based on their age. All cadets participating are required to pass a swim test conducted by the pool's lifeguards prior to swimming.

Cadets will be able to participate in the following heats. (There is a 20 participant limit, so spots will be on a first come first serve basis.)

a. 25m Freestyle (Front Crawl): 12-14 Years of Age.

b. 50m Freestyle (Front Crawl): 15 – 18 Years of Age.

c. 25m Back Crawl: 12 – 14 Years of Age.

d. 50m Back Crawl: 15 – 18 Years of Age.

f. 50m Breast Stroke: 15 – 18 Years of Age.

HEALTH CARDS ARE MANDATORY

You must sign up to be able to attend. When signing up, please select the proper age group you fall into (12-14 or 15-18) and which heats you would like to participate in (Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breast Stroke, Relay, or just Spectator). If you would like to participate in more than one heat, you are welcome to sign up for as many as you'd like. There are only 10 swimmers per heat, per age group, so you may not be able to swim in all depending on availability.
